1 C. White sugar
1 C. butter
1 egg
Mix above ingredients together.
4 T. sour milk (can use sweet)
1 T. molasses
1 tsp. soda
2 C. quick oatmeal
2 C. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
Add rest of ingredients. Make into small balls & flatten with fork dipped in flour. I put a raisin on each cookie before baking.
There are not baking instructions for this recipe. I received the recipe from Betty Jacobson, she said that Great Grandma Tina used to make these a lot & that she now uses it often because it's Freddy's favorite.

I make this cake too but add 1/2 c. chopped walnuts and top it with Caramel sauce.
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup each margarine & cream
1 tbsp flour
1tsp vanilla
Bring to a boil (stirring)
Serve warm on cake.
