Chocolate Revel Bars

aka Bernice's Lilly Pad Bars
Oatmeal mixture:
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Chocolate mixture:
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs and 2 tsp. vanilla.
In separate bowl, stir together oats, flour, soda and 1 tsp. salt.
Stir into creamed mixture until blended; set aside.

In sausepan, stir sweetened cond. milk, chocolate chips, 2 Tbsp. butter and 1/2 tsp tsp. salt, over low heat until smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in nuts and 2 tsp. vanilla.

Pat 2/3 of the oatmeal mixture on ungreased pan. Spread chocolate mixture over oatmeal layer. Then sprinkle (lilly pads) remaining oatmeal mix over top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.
