Betsy's "Tin" Bread

2 c. buttermilk
1tsp salt
1tsp soda
1 cup butter and shortening mix
(I have used all stick margarine when that's all I have on hand)

Flour ( make a dough a good consistency for rolling)

Roll out on floured cloth with a rolling pin with bumps.. Ivy has Betsy's handmade one.
The "store bought" one I have has smaller bumps so it gets flatter and not as "bumpy" as Betsy's
Using a lefse stick to transfer and turn, bake on lefse griddle.. turn when top side gets raised air bubbles..

Betsy always stored it in a round metal decorative "tin".  Serve with butter with a meal or "between meal 'lunch'"

Ivy always makes and brings this when they come for thanksgiving.. probably about the time I share the tradition!!!   Mama Ruth
