Rice Pilaf

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. rice, uncooked (not instant)
1 envelope Chicken noodle soup mix
2 1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. pepper

In skillet, hat butter, saute onion, celery and rice until rice is golden brown.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes.
Serves 6.

Mama Rut says: For more, you can double rice and not soup mix and change water amt to 4 1/2 c.
