Apple Juice - Schafer family recipie


Combine in stock pot:

2 gallons of apples
10 qts. of water
14 tsp. cream of tartar

Bring to a boil. Cover and let set for 24 hours.

Skim off apples/strain. Bring juice to a boil, then add 4 1/2 cups sugar (I did 2 cups - was plenty). Bring to a boil again. Fill jars and process 20 minutes.
